"Email Postage", how else can we reduce the bulk
emailers? As a user, I'd love to see it! The less than a penny penalty for commercial emailers, would not effect legitimate business one bit, ie the Bank Of Americas, the Fidelity's, etc; but would kill the real bulk mailer of unbelievable millions of unsolicited email. Personally? I have often wished for a system where I'm presented my incoming mail with the TRUE name of the sender ONLY, to which I would have to check off a yes or no before actually downloading the mail; but the "Email Postage" proposal is less complicated and will perhaps make my "wishful thinking" un-necessary. Well, it turns out that AOL and Yahoo are planning to implement a kind of premium email service: |
