any other group/list thay I should subscribe to? I have users@ and now social@
Sort of depends on your interests. [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is not too high in traffic and discusses ways of getting OOo out to more people. Also you can report there any successes you have had big or small so we can say well done :-) Also to give other people ideas of things that are successful. Joining the marketing project is an easy way to contribute especially if you are not too technical. [EMAIL PROTECTED] Discusses issues and problems. If you find a bug you might check in issuezilla on the main web site to see if it is already logged then describe it on te discuss list to see if anyone else has come across it. Might discuss enhancements or things that need improving or ask how to do something. The users list is really the place for simple things and Discuss for more complex issues. Hope that helps :-) Ian -- ----------------------------------------------- I am a "retired" IT professional with time on my hands. After two strokes, I am no longer able to do the type of programming needed in OOo. I use to write mainframe programs and programming editors/formatters for those languages used. Like Crimson Editor, but with format checking and common error checking. I now "work" mostly with non-profit oragnizations with setup/security and web pages. I have made it my business to get people/businesses to use OOo and other opensource or free stuff for their windows computers. I even burned several copies of the ISO downloads and "handed" them out to businesses/people in my local area to try. I try to help in the users@ list, but I am not as good as the others. I just relate how I fixed my problems that others not have. I have used Writer mostly since the early 1.x days. I am starting to use the other parts (Calc, Impress) more lately. As I said, I have time on my hands. I would like to do what I can. Tim L.
