Let's not forget the discussion of "English" (US?) system vs. Metric (or
whatever it's called now) system!
And the rather more heated debate on whether the U.S. citizens had any
justification at all for appropriating "Americans" for themselves! IIRC,
I favored changing it to "USians". ;-)
It's good to see so many of the old crowd is still monitoring the list.
I haven't been very active on "discuss", or any of the OO.o lists
because of work/home pressures for the past year!

I think G.W. Bush will go down in history as one (if not the) most
generally incompetent President in U.S. history.

Hi Fred, this list is to keep OOo community members out of trouble on
the main lists :-) If a discussion develops that gets a bit tiresome and
off topic on say the discuss list someone can say "take it to social" so
the rest of the list can get on with the serious stuff. We have had
discussions here from gun law in the USA to the history of the Catholic
Church :-) Really its like a cafe/bar where people can chat and
socialise.
