The next Social Computing meeting will be held on 4/17. Seb Benthall will be leading a discussion of causal inference in networked data. We will discuss applications and limitations of the potential outcomes framework in networked data sets for particular research problems. In particular, we will inquire into how to think rigorously about causal mechanisms involving emergent properties of networks.
