Policy of a Philosophy

VB in response Victor has suggested that Social Credit is compatible with Christianity. Victor never suggested any such thing. What I did say was that it embodied practical Christianity. I have explained this in a later posting and referred to the ethical and metaphysical values contained in Christianity and secondly that in accepting these values:Social Credit has nothing to do with any theological organization or religious faith. In my simple understanding this would include Judaism.

Not only has a straw man argument been put forward but also  then proceeds to knock it down.

but that Judaism cannot be compatible. Not only is the original statement incorrect but even the answer to the incorrect statement. I never said that. What I did do was to provide an excerpt from a reputable Jewish publication, which stated quite unequivocally that Judaism was not compatible with Christianity. KW has attempted to belittle that publication with his claim is that an encyclopaedia on Judaism, prepared for the use of self-identified members of that faith community.  The simple truth is that it was from a legitimate Jewish publication published in Israel and was an excerpt from what is accepted as an authoritative basis on Judaism.

I am prepared to accept that why not KW.

Ergo, since Social Credit is the essence of Christianity, it cannot be compatible with Judaism.

Firstly, Social Credit is not in the essence of Christianity unless in the manner previously described, i.e. ethical and metaphysical values and nothing to do with theology. Again in my simple understanding Christianity can be regarded as a faith or religion (although there many variants of these) and Judaism is a faith or religion. Social Credit is NOT a religion and to compare Social Credit with any religion or particular faith, Christianity or Judaism or any other is mischievous and offers confusion. It is not even equivalent to the comparison of apples and oranges. At least they are both fruits.

Christianity has a philosophy; Judaism has a philosophy and each of these gives rise to certain policies.

The Philosophy of Social Credit as it embraces the ethical and metaphysical values of Christianity gives rise to a POLICY, which is not compatible to the POLICY that emanates from Judaism. Social Credit is for decentralization of policy, which is opposite to that which arises from Judaism. My point about this whole question was that if Judaism claims it is incompatible with Christianity and they are quite entitled to express their belief, why is it wrong for Social Credit to say the same thing and be labelled anti-Semitic for saying so.

I did not wish to go any further on this but since this has arisen I will state that I have known many Jews as friends some true to their faith and some probably not so strong in it and I have had it said to me personally that they supported Social Credit. However they also said they would never declare this openly because, we would be attacked even more than the Gentiles.

I am not sure why there is so much discussion on something that is quite clear. Social Credit stands for the freedom of the individual and decentralized policy within the bounds of those Christian ethical and metaphysical values. If there is any disagreement with this, then so be it, forget Social Credit

I just wish a little truth and clarity would prevail. Perhaps this will come with a little more understanding.
