Hello Christian, i have a Kontron nanoETXexpress board here, which also has a MCP2515 Chip connected via SPI.
The SPI lines are told to be connected the same way to the parallel port as known from the MCP2515 evaluation board from MicroChip. I browsed some code regarding the spi_gpio / spi_bitbang drivers and also the SPI_LM70LLP driver which deals with parallelport hardware - but i did not get enlighted from that ;-) Before connecting Kontron i just wanted to ask you, if there's already a working SPI driver that would be able to connect your mcp251x driver with the parallel port analogue to the MicroChip eval board???
