Hello, list. I am a newbie to the CAN sockets. I worked a time with virtual CAN sockets and it worked well. Now, I tried to test my software with a real can interface. I have a car PC with a Kvaser PCIcanx II HS/HS card installed on it. A Debian Lenny system is running on it. However, I installed a new kernel version 2.6.32 in order to work with socketCans.
My problem is that I cannot get the can-interface of my Kvaser card to show up. I loaded the kvaser_pci modul with modprobe. However, when I type in ip link set can0 type kvaser_pci or ip link set can0 type can I get the message "cannot find device can0". What am I doing wrong???
