It did feel quite warm when I was pulling out the vpn1411 (which is why I tried to shut the drive down with 'atactl /dev/wd0c sleep'); I'm not sure it's helped much, if at all. I'll try pulling the drive itself out tomorrow. Other than the two 'remote' sensors, which aren't connected, the temperature reading below doesn't sound too bad - are any of these readings suspicious to anyone? I'd have expected (or at least hoped) an overheating system would show up in the thermal sensor, even though there's only the on-die CPU sensor? hw.sensors.0=nsclpcsio0, Remote Temp 1, 127.00 degC hw.sensors.1=nsclpcsio0, Remote Temp 2, 127.00 degC hw.sensors.2=nsclpcsio0, Local Temp, 49.00 degC hw.sensors.3=nsclpcsio0, VSENS0, 3.01 V DC hw.sensors.4=nsclpcsio0, VSENS1, 2.04 V DC hw.sensors.5=nsclpcsio0, VSENS2, 2.52 V DC hw.sensors.6=nsclpcsio0, VSENS3, 0.59 V DC hw.sensors.7=nsclpcsio0, VSENS4, 2.49 V DC hw.sensors.8=nsclpcsio0, VSENS5, 2.49 V DC hw.sensors.9=nsclpcsio0, VSENS6, 0.00 V DC hw.sensors.10=nsclpcsio0, VSB, 3.31 V DC hw.sensors.11=nsclpcsio0, VDD, 3.31 V DC hw.sensors.12=nsclpcsio0, VBAT, 3.01 V DC hw.sensors.13=nsclpcsio0, AVDD, 3.28 V DC hw.sensors.14=nsclpcsio0, TS1, 1.64 V DC hw.sensors.15=nsclpcsio0, TS2, 1.63 V DC hw.sensors.16=nsclpcsio0, TS3, 1.54 V DC James. _______________________________________________ Soekris-tech mailing list [email protected] http://lists.soekris.com/mailman/listinfo/soekris-tech
