"On board" as in the system RAM? Or the compact flash? You cannot use a USB flash memory device as an extension of your physical RAM, for many reasons (it's not RAM, it's USB 1.1, etc.). You could use it as storage, putting a filesystem on it, but as the 4801's integrated USB bus is USB 1.1 only, it will be much slower than compact flash (12 Mbps peak bus bandwidth, minus protocol overhead). > If so, what would I need to configure / type to get this to work? If you wish to use it as another filesystem, you'd need to partition it, make the filesystem, and mount it.
