Hi
I have been trying to configure the hardware watchdog timer on the soekris 4526 and havenot been able to get it to work.As far as i have read the timer is built in with the geode processor so it should have shown up on
the
harware configuration.

Have anyone of you gotten the timer to work.If so,Please share your
experiences.

Depending on your kernel the following may be relevant:

Are there patches for {Free,Open}BSD anywghere ? Or does it "just work" on these
platforms ?

It works just fine for me on FreeBSD, watchdog simply does not reset the timer when the kernel goes awry, or if you use the -e option, you have rather limitless possibilities of what is required to consider the system in a "good" state.
