CentOS 5 will not run on current Soekris hardware.

At best a net4801 is the equivalent of a 266MHz Pentium (aka i586),
CentOS 5 *requires* a Pentium II (aka i686) or better.

You will probably have better luck running CentOS 4, unless you want to
recompile all of CentOS 5 for a i586 ;)
