Hi,
I'm using currently a 12V/3.0A powersupply, and you can use over 2.0A
supply, the number is telling only how much current the supply can provide
at maximum. The voltage number is the one you should not exceed, but I don't
remember how much voltage does soekris units tolerate. (20V+ i think anyway)

We recently ordered our pair of 4801's and when we ordered, we ordered the
1.0A supplies. We were then told by Soekris that there was some issue
with them, and they recommended the 1.5A supplies. Try cranking your
bench supply up to 1.5A and see if that works.
