Hi Parth,

here is something I wrote a while ago:

http://stsx.xs4all.nl/www.stsx.org/openbsd/obsd-bootsoekris.txt

It's a kind of step by step guide to booting a Soekris box off an
OpenBSD boot server. It doesn't contain many hardware details, but it
_could_ get you started. The overall procedure for e.g. FreeBSD or Linux
wouldn't be much different.

The document doesn't cover installing OpenBSD directly to disk, but once
you've managed to run a bsd.rd from the boot server, that will be
incredibly easy, provided you've seen a BSD disklabel before;). Just
don't forget to set console output to com0.

Appendix A contains a list of more OpenBSD/Soekris related sites. Kernel
Panic has the clearest and best maintained OpenBSD/Soekris pages that I
know of:

http://www.kernel-panic.it/openbsd/embedded/

And then there is the famous:

http://www.cheapnet.net/~mike/soekris/

.. in case you'd rather run a Linux on your Soekris box.

You can of course also try booting the box off an USB card, but I
wouldn't know where to find an overview of how that (e.g. setting the
boot device in the comBIOS) is done. Boot device issues have been
passing this list with some regularity over the last 1/2 year or so, so
searching the archives should give you some clues.
