Hello, I'd add that on some "commecial" motherboard (asus, msi, etc), not all the mouting holes are connected together, I've heard about motherboard that died of surge problems with some mouting holes unused. However, I don't know how the mouting holes are on soekris hardware.
anyway, if you make yourself a case, you might think of using standard mouting brassed screws/spacers, and in that case, you won't have this kind of problems (and if you make yourself a case, would you mind share your case plans with us ?)
