Far be it from me to discourage anyone from using Soekris hardware - it's the best little embedded board I've been able to find. However, having convinced my employers to purchase a pair of S250s (they went for the Rubidium oscillator by themselves), I've been exceptionally pleased with Symmetricom's time servers - they average between 30 & 40ns separation when peered across 15 miles of single-mode fiber.
