Get a CF card, configure it sanely, make regular backups and accept that it'll die in five or ten years. Getting a Soekris and then spoling it with a loud consumerware hard drive is sacrilege. Or if you're dead set of a hard drive and can find out what drive a HTE541040G9AT00 is, that one is good. I have one in my office desktop (a hush/via box) and it's nice and quiet. Can't remember its brand or name any more, though.
