I'm hoping for a little insight on how to proceed on this. I was just configuring the networking on my net4801. I went to switch an ethernet cable when the whole board powered off. Since then I have been unable to get it to turn on for more than 15 seconds.
The power and error LEDs turn on and stay on together until the power cuts out (10 to 15 seconds). No other lights turn on. From the console, the BIOS counts 12345[sometimes 6] and then halts when the power cuts.
What I am wondering is if the power supply could have failed or if this could be the board itself? What are the conditions that might cause this board to shutdown after a short period of time? I should mention that it often will not turn on again unless I unplug the power for a minute or so. It then repeats its behavior. Any insight is greatly appreciated,
