Hello,

We have a few net4526 cards and have installed Voyage (Linux) on them. We
are using them for a project that uses the one comm. port for
communications. The fatal flaw is that the comm. port is being used by the
console/terminal process, and consequently, our software running in Linux
that is trying to also use the comm. port is unsuccessful. I've tried
modifying the bootloader file (grub's menu.lst) to not load the terminal
process, but then the card won't even boot-or at least not that I can see.
Obviously, the serial terminal won't work, but I can't get ssh or telnet to
work, either, which does work if I leave the bootloader file alone.

Can anyone help with how to "turn off" the console/terminal process, or
otherwise get access to the comm. port in Linux?

Thanks.

Mark
