The cause for the low performance on OpenBSD was excessive load for
each sis interrupt for stirring the entropy pool. McBride resolved
this with a clever trick,

For a versatile VPN, OpenBSD can't be topped. ipsec.conf & ipsecctl
have been improved drastically, making ipsec easy enough for us mere
mortals.
