I thought we fitted your case with a fan? The drive shouldn't have
overheated if the fan was functional.
That having been said, I am currently working with a WD1200BEVE in a

I've just started, but did let it run overnight with the cover on (no
fan) and temp only went up a degree or so. With the cover off, the
drive runs absolutely cool to the touch -- hard to believe its
actually running.
