Wel, I had to read it on the mailinglist just like you guys. As this is a technical mailinglist, I'm not going comment on the 'shafted' part, but I'm happy to see there is still a niche where we can add value: Since 2003 we've been distributing Soekris and I still believe it's a product worth putting my time and effort in, so I'll still going to take it on the road to conferences and workshops. So not much will change. Since the beginning we've always been ahead of the curve by integrating Soekris boards into appliances and solutions, we were the first to offer the 4801 in a case with the lan1641, we have of course our rackmounted cases and offer line of solutions with 8 serial ports as console server and the SCSI one. Our cases (desktop and rackmount) come with 2 serial ports which just makes sense I guess. We only cary tested components in which we are confident our customers will not be disappointed with like industrial grade CF and 24/7 SATA disks. I guess it's because we are not box movers but have plenty of experience with open source, most notably because of our ties to the OpenBSD projects (the bulk of the profits goes to the project, the rest is used to cover costs of going to conferences). I'm sure that people who put value in this will still find us.
