Hello,

I seem to have a problem with my 4501 and linux box combination. I want to set
up a vpn accessible samba server. I am linux running on a box and monowall on
the 4501. The vpn is all set up on the monowall. I can communicate from my
laptop to the 4501 via ethernet and I can communicate from my router to my
linux box via ethernet. But when I connect my 4501 to my linux box via
ethernet, the two do not seem to communicate. The linux box can't get an ip
address (dhcpcd or ifconfig) and the 4501 does not see any device connected
when I look at the web interface. The monowall log file shows nothing. The
LEDs are not on on either of the devices either. I have changed cables but
that didn't make a difference and the cable works for another connections.

Any one seen this before with their Soerkis box? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

greanie
