I've not had a chance to investigate this myself, but I too have seen  
spontaneous reboots with high traffic through my net4801.
My 4801 is running OpenBSD 4.2, built using flashdist.

I've got a similar network setup to you. Attempting to scp a gzipped  
tarball from a machine on my DMZ to a machine on my internal network  
through the net4801 causes the net4801 to reboot. The amount of data  
copied varies each time, but a reboot is guaranteed. I'm running a  
dual-stack IPv4/v6 network, but using v4 or v6 makes no difference to  
the outcome.
