I have several soekris (4801 and 5501) running with Debian Etch.

They work fine once they are up and running. However, there is a problem
which I think is related to grub:

If the serial port is not connected to a PC with a terminal emulator it
hangs at boot time, I think just before grub tries to print the boot
menu. I suspect that at that point HW flow control is on and grub (or
the BIOS) waits for a CTS signal.

Does anyone know a way around this problem (I already checked the grub
documentation but didn't find anything).
