Hi ,

I am using Mikrotik Routerboard 14 (PCI to 4 miniPCI adapter) on a
net5501 board running voyage (2.6.23 kernel) linux . I use an
Atheros-based miniPCI wireless adapter (Mikrotik R52 ) driven by
madwifi. Though my wireless card is getting detected, I could not
associate with an essid or change the channel of operation. Nor am I
able to assign an IP address. Please find the series of commands that
I typed and the corresponding output:

$ wlanconfig ath3 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode adhoc
ath1

$ ifconfig ath1 down

$ iwpriv ath1 mode 1

$ifconfig ath1 up

wifi1: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 1 (2412 MHz) flags 0xc0
'Hardware didn't respond as expected' )
wifi1: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 52 (5260 MHz) flags 0x140
'Hardware didn't respond as expected)
wifi1: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 60 (5300 MHz) flags 0x140
'Hardware didn't respond as expected)
wifi1: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 2 (2417 MHz) flags 0xc0
'Hardware didn't respond as expected' )
wifi1: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 149 (5745 MHz) flags
0x140 'Hardware didn't respond as expected)
wifi1: rx FIFO overrun; resetting
wifi1: ath_reset: unable to reset hardware: 'Hardware didn't respond
as expected' (HAL status 3)

However, router board works well on a Desktop machine running ubuntu
(kernel 2.6.29).

Please let me know if anything need to be done to get Routerboard 14
working on my machine.

Thanks
