I don't think it's a terribly attractive platform for this... appart
from lack of cpu virtualization support, fixed relatively low memory
size limited cpu and i/o bottlenecked around pci aren't really great
things to throw into the mix.

I love my 5501s but I wouldn't use them for this.

the intel atom 330 (if you don't care about the lack of vt) or any core2
duo (from the 10w ulv models to the 35w larger laptop variants) on an
embedded board would be much more suitable for virtualized system.
