1. Get an ammeter and put it in series with one side of the power going
into the board.
2. Get a voltmeter and measure the voltage where it reaches the board.
3. Watts = Amps x Volts.
For reference, here are some measurements I made on a net5501 a couple
years ago with an attached CF card but no other components being powered:
196ma at 24V (= 4.7W)
341ma at 12V (= 4.1W)
