Jasper,

Why do you think it won't work in a 4501? IIRC the signalling is 3.3V 
only on the 4501 but it still provides the 12V from the plug.

Quite besides the point, are you sure a 4501 can cope with the added 
load of dealing with all the ATM on board, instead of just IP as you 
would normally? The 4501 is very limited CPU-power wise.
