Hi Everybody,

I'm Sorry, but it took me a little time to bring up and test the net6501
hardware, a little too much software and fpga programming and a couple
of hardware issues.....

But the net6501 prototypes are now working just fine, I have booted
stock MS-DOS, FreeBSD and OpenBSD, with all hardware recognized.

So we just started the first small production batch, 120 pcs net6501-50
should start shipping on August 1, with the next 600 pcs net6501-50 to
start shipping August 22.

Then full production with all three variations, to start shipping
September 15.

The usual standard case will be ready from start, the 1U 19" rackmount
will probably be a few weeks after.

A Quad PCI-Express x1 gigabit ethernet adapter will come in probably
October 2011, with the same Intel 82574L controllers as the net6501, the
1U 19" rackmount case will take two of those boards.

And yes, a PCIe x1 don't really have enough bandwidth, in fact, the
Intel Atom E6xx only have 4 PCIe x1 gen1 ports so bandwidth is limited.

All the bandwidth, performance and memory anybody would need is for the
net7501....
