Hello,

We recently received two net5501-70 units (S/N 229935 and 229936).
They experience problems on booting after the unit has been powered down for a
bit.

Instead of booting as:

        net5501

Pri Sla OWC Mercury Extreme Pro SSD LBA Xlt 1024-255-63 134
Gbyte

Slot Vend Dev ClassRev Cmd Stat CL LT HT Base1 Base2 Int

        ...

They fail to report the existence of the CF and SSD drives. We are given this
error message:

No Boot device available, enter monitor.

Doing an boot 80 or boot 81 will report the same thing.

A subsequent and quick power cycle seems to fix the problem. I.e., both drives
are seen and the default boot works well.

A user on the soekris-tech mailing list suggested that the 2 power supplies we
received
may be at fault. We tried swapping power supplies between the two units but
that did not help.

We are concerned that the net5501 will not boot after a power outage. Have you
heard
of the power supply causing this type of power-on problem? If so, do you have
replacement power supplies that fix this issue? Or do you have another
suggestion?
