Remember that unlike previous 32/64bit architectures, the x86 32 and 64 bit 
modes are radically different.

I assume I can use larger int types, so my counters will count longer. I tested 
pfsense 2.0 on net5501-70, and works great. Can't wait to use amd64
pfsense 2.0 on it :)
