hello List, I have been trying to flash the 6501 bios to h version following: http://soekris.com/media/software/b6501_140h.bin If problems, current shipping net6501 comBIOS is at: http://soekris.com/media/software/b6501_140_s.bin Please note that you currently need to use the "download" command in the uManager til update BIOS'es. There also seems to be a minor bug in the uManager "download" command, the board need to be complely powered down betweens two "download"s. (Have been fixed and will be included in the final release).
Running obsd 5.0 on laptop, i tried both methods listed here: http://wiki.soekris.info/Updating_Bios cu -l /dev/ttyU0 -s 19200 pressing +++ until i get to the uManager (rev 0.6 110906) #download Start sending file using XMODEM/CRC protocol. CCCCCCCCC (ongoing C character coming up if (or not) type any character on the keyboard) hit the ~+ or ~C keystroke but I can't get to the "local command" (btw... are ~+ / ~C special command? running on a qwerty kb...) With minicom,I can as well connect, settings are: /usr/local/bin/lsz -Xvv serial device set to /dev/ttyU0 19200 8N1 hardware / soft flow control set to no #download Start sending file using XMODEM/CRC protocol. Pressing CtrlA - Z to select S, then zmodem (set to "/usr/local/bin/lsz -Xvv") but ends up with a "Transfer incomplete" in the small popup. I have tried to remove the AC then plug back before starting a new "download" command but still stuck. Btw, I am not able to get to the bios using Ctrl+P ... the LED error is ON so I guess the bios is "screwed up" ? I am not sure what I am missing here, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, josh # cat minicom.log 20111116 12:08:41 /usr/local/bin/lsz -X s.bin 20111116 12:08:41 Sending s.bin, 448 blocks: 20111116 12:11:03 /usr/local/bin/lsz -vvvX s.bin # md5 s.bin (s version) MD5 (s.bin) = 20fe620bf273d745d1344687e304ca1a # md5 h.bin (h version) MD5 (h.bin) = a80448c28e3326b41165500237dc1158 _______________________________________________ Soekris-tech mailing list [email protected] http://lists.soekris.com/mailman/listinfo/soekris-tech
