I got it to update ok the other night.  I just used cu and sz on a
Linux box, as it is written up in the wiki page.  I don't know why it
didn't work the other day.  I think maybe I ended up pressing another
key before I started the xmodem transfer, which corrupted what
uManager received.  That doesn't explain why minicom couldn't do it..
presumably when I'm pressing minicom hotkeys and navigating menus, it
isn't sending those keys to the 6501.
