I just got my board & case and I can't wait to get up and running.
However, as I am putting the bits together, I have run into a few
problems with the documentation, "Vers 0.10 September 19, 2011"
<http://soekris.com/media/manuals/net6501_manual.pdf>
I have also referenced the wiki here
<http://wiki.soekris.info/Net6501_Interfaces> and I am having problems with:

Documentation, page 13, paragraphs 4.16 & 4.17: JP16 is both a fan and
the battery connector. Perhaps JP16 is the battery connector and JP13
is the fan connector?

Page 13, para 4.18, JP7 is not a 0.05 in. connector, it is a 0.1 in.
header.

Undocumented:

JP1 is a 5 x 2 pin 2 mm header - JTAG?
JP6 is an unstuffed 3 pin AMP MTA100 header
JP9 is a 4 pin AMP MTA100 header
JP10 & JP14 are 5 x 2 pin 2 mm headers - I assume one is the LPC bus?
JP11 is an 8 pin 0.1 in header, probably a COM1 internal break out

The DC parameters for JP16 as a back up battery connector: what Ah
rating 8.4V NiMH battery? My guesstimate at 8W continuous draw, 80%
efficient switching PS, requires 2.4 Ah (2400 mAh) per hour of back up
operation (to 50% depth of discharge at C/2). Some AA size NiMH are
rated for 2300 mAh, but will not likely last that long at a C/2 rate of
discharge. C size cells rated at 5 Ah would be better, and 9 Ah D size
cells would be best, lasting 4 hours at C/8.

PS. I see that Mitja has asked the same questions me.

Andrew
