Hi,
We brought 2 soekris net6501 (rackable) in January with 2 msata ssd
(30Gig), our goal is to setup this 2 soekris, one in production and the
other for test or backup if the other have a problem.
I installed the first one without any problem I used a msata ssd
enclosure to perform the pfsense installation. My PC detected the msata
with a 30Gig size and when I putted back in the soekris the system
booted without problem.
When I tried this, few mouths later, to do the same operation I had a
problem . The enclosure detected properly the ssd disk with the good
size 30Gig, I putted back in the soekris and the system booted . I had
a problem when the system booted , but I did not take the error message
:( , I know , shame on me... So I rebooted and the system don't boot any
more, the soekris detect the ssd but it can boot on it.
I putted back into the enclosure and my PC detect the msata ssd but not
the good size now the system indicate 30 Megs :( . I tried on 2 PC Linux
and Windows same value .
I tried to clean up the partition table with dd
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdd bs=1M
I tried to wipeout all the drive with dd but it make only 30 Megs :(
Do you have anyway idea , how to fix my problem ?
