Hi Arun, thanks for your reply! > > I have a similar problem with Voyage Linux (Debian derivative). > > Read this thread and the follow up postings: > <http://lists.soekris.com/pipermail/soekris-tech/2012-September/018574.html>
Thanks a lot for pointing this out to me! Well, I do have a Sandisk CF card (I actually ordered it alongside with my Net5501 directly from Soekris), and it is recognised by the board jusst fine. Also, I'm running the latest Com BIOS version so that should be just fine as well. I've also installed Voyage Linux on the CF card, which will boot just fine actually - but I think that Voyage Linux has some issues (e.G. improperly configured locales and some file management principles that I simply don't understand), so I'd rather use a fresh installation of Debian. But for some reason, the installer simply won't detect either the CF card or the SATA drive... Well, after reading all the suggestions from the mailing list archive, I think I'll try to boot into the BIOS, then reboot, get back into the BIOS and then try the PXE boot again - I kind of doubt this will work, but I guess you never know! :-) Thanks, Robin. _______________________________________________ Soekris-tech mailing list Soekris-tech@lists.soekris.com http://lists.soekris.com/mailman/listinfo/soekris-tech
