Thanks for the hint, but it doesn't really help as:
- I am not using Linux, but NetBSD
- Neither comBIOS nor NetBSD PCI device enumeration finds the card in
PCI configuration space.
So I am looking at an issue, where the card is not visible to the
comBIOS - long
before any OS is booted.
The boot screen looks like this:

Note that the card is not listed here. The Intel wireless 4965AGN would
show up
as 07:00:00 ....
No OS has a chance to bind a driver when the vendor-id and device-id cannot
be read in pci configuration space.
The expected vendor id for the MosChip/NetMOS is 0x9710 the device id
is 0x9901.
So, my issue still seems unsolved.
