Hello all,
I recently installed Voyage Linux MPD 0.10.0 (Debian Jessie) on a
Net6501 box (haven't much used the box before). After working out a few
kinks it mostly works fine. However, once in a while the box gets stuck
at grub command line (grub>). After entering 'root (hd[tab]' it gives me
the following possible drives 'Possible disks are: hd1 hd2 hd3 hd4 hd5
hd6 hd7'. However, none of these drives have partitions according to
grub (hence it is not booting). However, after a reset it boots without
issues.
Interestingly, I should see a hd0, which isn't there. But, the ssd is
recognized by the box/bios, otherwise I wouldn't see grub to begin with.
On a normal boot hd0 does exist
Another observations just now (after I had the same problem again while
writing this post), luckily with serial console hooked up, though not
fast enough to copy the output): the box stuck longer than usual in
POST. I thought I would have to unplug it, but then it continued.
Below I have some serial console output.
While annoying, this doesn't happen very often. Nonetheless, I do would
like to understand why this happens (at least to the extent that I can
fix it).
So, anyone any thoughts on this?
