Hi

I've had a 6501 for a couple years now, and thought everything was great, but
thinking back one thing did change for the worse when I installed this box.
When I'm part of any kind of p2p "swarm", I can't upload reliably. It's so bad
that I've rarely ever seen more than 20KBps per peer, and it's usually between
0 and 10KBps (5KBps is pretty average :o).

I did some testing this weekend, and tried out the latest stable pfSense on it
(I was running Debian Sid), and things improved a bit. Now I'm using an RT-
AC66U I picked up for $60 off a site called Kijiji (its like craigslist), and
it's significantly better. Things in general, like connections starting, seem
to feel smoother, but i have no hard evidence of that. Actual max downstream
and upstream performance is fine (can saturate my 120/5mbps internet
connection just fine) when in single streams like HTTP and SSH, but actual
connection setups, and multiple smaller streams seem to have issues.

What exactly could cause this? Has anyone seen anything similar? I'd like to
not have to give up the $300+ appliance so soon :(
