I'm very sorry to hear so. Unfortunately I also have to report a failure: a couple of days ago I tried to repair another net6501, but it didn't come back to life. In the end I replaced all the electrolytic capacitors but the two SMDs near the CPU. It didn't help. In this process I noticed ad interesting thing: while the two routers were apparently of the same revision (same cpu "heatsink"), the capacitors near the CPU differ. On the fixed net6501 these are 820uF caps, while on the other one 680uF caps (IIRC). I don't think it's related to the problem, but apparently they changed a few components during production... The net6501 I reported as fixed is still working fine, despite some torture testing.
