I'm about to make the following change to the release management docs:
sofia-sip/docs/release_management.txt:
- change version in configure.ac from "X.Y.Z" to
"X.Y.Z+1work"
... it used to be to "X.Y.Zwork", but this causes trouble to clients who
depend on features not yet in any released sofia-sip versions. By having
an increment version number for cvs/darcs builds make it possible for
these clients to make more useful checks on library dependencies
(especially, people can be warned if compiling against X.Y.Z).
And of course, after making releases, be sure to open the tree for
development -> change the version in configure.ac (either right away, or
after first post-release commit).
