I'm using the sofia resolver, it does not use the gethostbyname function.
Well, not exactly you are using, but sofia is using, look at get_addr function
in su_addrinfo.c
Well I think that the dns query is send through a socket via the sendto
function (in sresolv.c, function sres_sens_dns_query), and the function
get_addr is no longer used when you used the sofia resolver compliant
with the 3263.
