Hi again,
I'd like to hear your comments on the Sofia-SIP API docs (either here on
the list, or on #sofia-sip at freenode). The current docs are at:
.. the docs have improved a lot recently, but I still get reports saying
the docs are not good enough to get started. Personally I think navigation
and "glue-docs" are still somewhat lacking. We should have at least links
to the main header file of each module like in now done for stun:
But ideally a real "how to use" style intro would be provided for each
module (example from nta):
And then maybe, more general level introduction material like
- http://sofia-sip.sourceforge.net/refdocs/nua/
Of course, we encourage new developers to take a look at our example apps
to get more concrete view of how to use the APIs. All in all, a lot of
information is provided, but OTOH, at least some people are having
problems getting started with Sofia-SIP. So feedback on problems you've
personally had with our docs would be most welcome.
