Hi,
i have got the latest version of sofia-sip and sofsip_cli (using
darcs) running in ubuntu and maemo.
I am able to make calls from the ubuntu desktop to another desktop
running sofsip_cli. But the same is not posible in maemo.

The scenario is like this:
   - both the users are registered to the server from the maemo platform.
   - we are able to invite each other, but there is no rtp packets
that flow between the to hosts after accepting a call.

Do we need to configure something in the ubuntu side or maemo side
for the voice to be taken and sent across the network?

Also a few small doubts,
  - which SIP server do you use to testing purpose? we are using SER.
  - we are not able to send messages across to other hosts. After
issuing "m sip:<host ip>", the sofia prompt is brought back and the
receiver gets some junk message.
Anything wrong we are doing here?

PS: Thank you - Pekka Pessi and Kai Vehmanen - for the help you have provided
in make and build process of sofia-sip and sofsip_cli.
