Sorry to ping, I'm not sure if this message did arrive the first time
(I'm managing problems with Sourceforge ML lately, seems I cannot send
mails using my provider SMTP server, and so painfullly falling back to
the Gmail web interface).

As I'm exploring the problem I discovered the test program
sip/test_sip_msg.c, but nothing similar to a converter msg_t/sip_t ->
char*, so I'm still
stuck with this problem.
