Hi, I found the same problem in OS 2008. sofsip_cli works well in old OS version 2007 and 2006, you can get audio without any extra configuration. I don't know the reason why audio doesn't work in OS 2008.
Hope somebody could look into this issue, as sofsip_cli on Maemo is a very valuable prototype application.
