Hi,

I have a problem with sofia-sip usage in Freeswitch. Freeswitch uses
sofia-sip and the problem I am having is related to running > 250 cps.

The test scenario is with sipp uac on one side sending calls to uas on the
other side of Freeswitch. Uas waits for 5 seconds and hands up.
This scenario works fine and FS only has 1250 channels when cps is running
at 250. However, when I turn up cpu to 300, the rate that a channel gets
removed is much lower than the rate of increasing channels. Then,
eventually, channels get accumulated to a point that it consumes all the
available threads.

I checked the FS code and could not find anything wrong with its channel
creation and destruction modules. I am suspecting that there may be some
tweaking I can do with the thread usage in between FS and sofia-sip?

When this channel accumulation happens, the cpu is only running at 400%/800%
and mem usage is still low.

Does anyone have any idea that I can try out?

Thanks,
JB
