Hi Fred, hello list,
I'm using the Audigy2 Platinum (PCI-card), third product lot and it performs
very well at 96KHz.
Measurements at the following testing conditions:
.mode set mono
.signal input 495mV sinus (on one line-input)
.all card's registers have been set with known values at test start*
.HP3325A Opt.001/002 signal generator
.tests have been performed on an Athlon 3000+, 2GB DDR400MHz RAM PC.
.analysis software used has been LabView from National Instruments
have given a SNR of something around 98dB.
With an input signal of 2V sinus the resulting SNR raised to around 103dB.
At this time I've no shots to show you (sorry!) but I'll reset a proper
measurement environment on Linux in the near future.
*I've heard of some problems with some CreativeLabs sound cards if all
registers are not initialized one by one so it is my main rule to do so by
default. Maybe Alberto can say more on this issue.
