Hi all many thanks for your suggestions about AM demod from I/Q signals! It seems to be a very interesting subject. Some ask for providing details: The "HDR-2005" (Hardware Defined Radio ;-) is based on a SDR but only realized with hardware. The core of the receiver is a double balanced quadratur demodulator, similar the QSD from Gerald Youngblood AC5OG. (http://www.flex-radio.com/articles_files/SDRFMP4.pdf) After the QSD and a preamp follows an active polyphasefilter, OP for sum or diff of the I/Q signals, a LPF/SCAF and a AF Amp. Please look at FILES/HDR2005. There are a block diagram and a short description. My HDR-2005 is a homebrew receiver only for my privat pleasure.
