People need to realize Dan did us all a favor by patenting this before some major corporation did it and kept us from using the circuit in devices like the Flex Radio ... I personally can't figure out why people get so upset over it other than envy, it's not like he's strong arming anyone for royalties, getting filthy rich or keeping anyone from using the circuit
Dan may not have come up with the idea first but he simplified it, made it a practical reality for hobbyist/amateurs and popularized the circuit ... his latest design for Norcal QRP is a study in design genius, running audio range frequencies through half a dozen op amps using direct coupling (ie- no DC blocking caps between stages) is no easy design feat and the purity of the audio in that device should be outstanding and exceed 99% of the comsumer 'pro' sound hardware on the market today John --- In [email protected], KY1K <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Alberto and the group, > > Dan Tayloe acknowledged that he didn't discover the QSD (or Tayloe > Detector).
